A Manufacturing Fabrication Specialist (TL) position in the
Space Exploration Division to support Space Shuttle, International Space
Station, and other Boeing Programs is now open. Must have a technical
background in electrical fabrication and assembly techniques including
soldering, crimping, wire wrapping, connector assembly and wire harness
assembly as well as the ability to integrate and connect electronic test
equipment. Specifically, candidate must have previous wire harness
fabrication and electronic test equipment integration. Individual must be
capable of operating standard electronics test and fabrication equipment
including multi-meters, soldering/de-soldering equipment, crimp tools, wire
wrappers, heat guns, etc. Applicant must have previous experience working to
government, and/or military specifications or the equivalent in the area of
electronics fabrication and assembly. Must be capable of interpreting
electrical drawings and schematics per ANSI Y14.5M standards and producing
products directly from the drawings without detailed planning. Must be
capable of working within a team environment, able to work under a minimum
of supervision, and be self-motivated. This individual must be willing to
work second/third shift, extended first, and or off shifting to accommodate
manufacturing customer requirements.
JOB SKILLS: Additional secondary duties in other areas will also be
performed as required. Will be required to obtain manufacturing
certifications on an as needed basis including any associated physical
examination. Will additionally be required to perform cleanup and
administrative functions as required to support daily activities. This
individual must be willing to work second/third shift, extended first, and
or off shifting to accommodate manufacturing customer requirements. High
school diploma or GED and 4 to 6 years' related experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
